Chinese and Japanese characters of smart meter camera module

The (16 × 16) pixel (width and height) character matrix should be the minimum value of Chinese characters (traditional and simplified) and Japanese characters.

Note 1 an example of (16 × 16) pixel matrix can be found in JIS x 9051.

If the readability of a single Chinese character or Japanese character is the key to interpreting a message, the (24 × 24) pixel (width and height) character matrix should be the minimum value, or character modification should be used.

Note 2 an example of (24 × 24) pixel matrix can be found in JIS x 9052.

If only a limited and predefined character set is used and the characters can be clearly distinguished from each other, a smaller pixel matrix can be used.
